Base App Discovery Checklist

A builder checklist for preparing an app for Base App and ecosystem discovery.

Make the app work as a normal web app

Base documentation now emphasizes standard web app compatibility. Confirm the app loads in mobile browsers, uses current wallet/auth libraries, and does not depend on deprecated app-specific assumptions.

Complete metadata deliberately

Name, icon, tagline, description, screenshots, category, and primary URL all affect discovery quality. Treat metadata as part of the product, not paperwork.

Test the user path inside the listing

Open the app from a mobile environment, verify auth, wallet connection, loading states, and error handling, and keep a short fallback path for users who open the app in a normal browser.

Next diligence step

After the checklist, compare at least two relevant product pages, read the official source links, and write down the operational owner for pricing, support, compliance, security, and accounting questions. The best tool depends on those constraints, not on a generic ranking.
